Redmi Smart X55 Review: Design
Talking about the design, the design of the front panel of the Redmi Smart TV is similar to that of the Mi 4 TV, but you will notice a slight change in the back panel. The ports on the back panel have also been replaced. The frame in the TV is quite low and the build quality is good. You can also make small designer stools from the box you get with the TV. For this, there is a design in the box itself, which you can cut and make a stool. The TV is slim and slick. Redmi’s Smart TV is not a very fancy TV to watch, but its look is not bad either.
Redmi Smart X55 Review: Display
Redmi Smart X55 has support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 +. Apart from this, it has a real flow which is given for the first time in any TV of Xiaomi. It has a vivid picture engine so that people can get better picture quality. At first glance, the picture quality of the TV is excellent. There are no complaints of any kind of cliché or getting stuck in watching 4K videos.
Redmi Smart X55 Review: Performance
The TV has Android 10 and also supports Google Assistant with the stock Android TV Launcher. Along with Xiaomi’s other TVs, it also has a patch wall UI. The TV has Google Chromecast inbuilt. Apart from this, the Mi Home app has been supported in this TV which is for Smart Home Device (IoT) i.e. from the TV itself you can control any smart bulb in your room. The TV has a 30-watt speaker. Kids mode is also provided on the TV.
The TV has a 64 bit Quadcore MediaTek processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage. There will be no significant change in the remote. If Xiaomi has not provided the battery with the remote, then you have to buy the battery separately. The remote has shortcut buttons for Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is no button for volume mute but the TV mutes when volume down is pressed twice in a row. Redmi’s TV can also be controlled from Mi TV’s remote.
For gaming, it has Auto Low Lattice Mode (ALLM). Talking about connectivity, the TV has three HDMI 2.1 ports with eARC support. Apart from this, two USB ports, dual-band Wi-Fi, optical, 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth 5.0 have been given. The TV supports Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos, eARC and DTS Virtual as the sound format.
